This temple is a unique double temple located in the town of Kom Ombo. Made during the Ptolemaic dynasty between 180-47 BC, it has a double design of courts, halls, sanctuaries and rooms that are in duplicate for twin sets of gods.
The Southern part of the temple is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, who is considered to be the creator and also the god of fertility while the Northern part is for the god of falcons- Haroeris along with Tasenetnofret and Panebtawy. The temple has a small pool where sacred crocodiles were raised. In the Chapel of Hathor near the entrance lie three crocodile mummies. The temple hosts a tourist bazaar, a good place to shop and collect some Egyptian souvenirs.
The main sight at the temple is the Outer Hypostyle Hal, which has 15 thick columns with floral capitals and a cornice dressed in carved winged sun-discs.
