Montaza Palace

It is a palace museum with massive gardens and the Al-Haramlik Palace standing tall and elegant. It was built in 1892 by Khedive Abbas II, the last Muhammad Ali Dynasty ruler and was used as a hunting place and residence for his companion.

In 1932, additions were made to the palace with the royal gardens adding some greenery to the place and also the larger Al-Haramlik Palace was built. The palace represents Ottoman and Florentine styles of architecture have long open arcades that face the sea, offering a spectacular view.
